our history

Tottle Partners was established to create an enduring practice of commercial excellence with a focus on critical thinking and strategic advice. It remains a highly reputable specialist practice, offering stability and longevity to its clients.

Paul Tottle & Associates was founded by Paul Tottle, together with Michele Kershaw and Tanya Srb, on 1 July 1995.

Our offices were originally at Level 8, Chancery House, 82 St Georges Terrace, Perth before the firm moved to Level 13, 28 The Esplanade, Perth.  With the arrival of new partners, the firm became Tottle Christensen on 1 July 1997 and remained at The Esplanade before moving to Level 1, 181 St Georges Terrace, Perth.

In 2003 various partners of Tottle Christensen decided to part ways, resulting in Tottle Partners being established on 1 July 2003 with founding partners Paul Tottle, Paul Blackman, Gary Thomas, Stephen Penrose and Richard Wilenski and a total of around 30 staff.  As the firm continued to grow, it moved to new premises at Level 40, 108 St Georges Terrace, Perth. Eibhlin McCloskey and Yin Fang became partners of the firm in 2010, Lee Panotidis in 2011, Andrew Gliddon in 2016 and Melanie Naylor in 2017.

Paul Tottle was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia effective August 2015.  That was the first time in 25 years that a solicitor practising in a private law firm had been appointed to the Supreme Court Bench.

The firm now has 8 Partners and employs around 45 staff.  Since Paul Tottle and Associates was founded, the firm has looked after more than 5,700 clients and employed around 350 staff (including vacation clerks).
